There were no interested buyers for the remaining 17 land plots, three of which were with business premises that were also on sale.
The seizure of moveable and immoveable property and thereafter sale is carried out with a view to settling public revenues due from the total assets of the debtor as the last measure in all cases after all means of collection of tax liabilities, which were not been paid within the prescribed time limits, have been exhausted. Due to non-payment of public revenues due for which the enforced collection procedure has been instituted, in 2011 the Tax Administration of FBiH issued 20,933 decisions on enforced collection of outstanding public liabilities. 109 inventories of KM 10,588,172.53 worth of assets were carried out.
In the mentioned period, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH performed sale of KM 872,126.37 worth of assets for 266 taxpayers.
The sale of assets is conducted by means of public auction and direct sale. Collection of debt through sale of seized assets is a long-lasting procedure, as it happens that assets remain unsold after the public auction. In all such cases, in accordance with the Tax Administration of FBiH Act and the Rulebook on Enforced Collection Procedures and with a view to collect public revenues due, the Tax Administration auctions the seized assets of a taxpayer several times. Nevertheless, very often, the assets even then remain unsold for lack of interested buyers due to economic situation or solidarity of the citizens that do not want to buy the seized assets of taxpayers-debtors.
