The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH is an administration within the Federal Ministry of Finance.
On a proposal from the Federal Minister of Finance, the Government of the Federation of BiH appoints Director of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH for the period of four years with possibility of reappointment.
The Director of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH is Midhat Arifović, BEc.
The Deputy Director of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH is Vinko Križan, BEc, who was appointed to office in the same manner as the Director.
The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH has a two-tier organizational structure consisting of the Head Office at one level and Cantonal Tax Offices with their Branch Offices at another level.
The Head Office of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH has three departments and seven sectors which are managed by assistant directors - heads of departments/sectors.
With the consent of the Minister and upon completing the procedure set forth in Chapter IV of the Civil Service Act in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH, number: 29/03, 39/04, 54/04, 67/05 and 8/06), the Director appoints and relieves of duty the heads of departments and sectors at the Head Office as well as the heads of the Cantonal Tax Offices and Branch Offices.
